Gratefulness for the gift of healing!

When I go to work, my intention is to treat my patients to the best of my ability. Unfortunately with acupuncture and herbal medicine, as with other forms of medicine, the success rate is never 100%.

When I come across a patient who does not respond to my treatments, and I know that I have tried my best to help, I have learned not to take it  personally.  On the other hand, when my treatment is successful, I do not feel that I should take the credit for that either.

If my patients are getting better, it is because I have applied correctly the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The merit goes to the generations of practitioners who have contributed, throughout the ages to this body of knowledge. The merit should also go to my teachers who patiently have taught me this art and science. Lastly, my gratitude goes to the many patients who have given me their trust over the years. From them I am learning more than any school can teach. Every day, I am thankful for the gift of healing when it comes.
